For a comprehensive experience in this unique Himalayan Red Panda Forest and excellent opportunities to see the Wild Red Pandas in their natural habitat, we suggest the following minimum 5-night & 6-day itinerary. We have maintained a 100% success rate for Red Panda sightings over the past 10 years. To increase your chances of encountering other rare species in the area, consider extending your stay by 2 to 5 nights.

Welcome to Habre’s Nest

Bagdogra or Bhadrapur Airport to Habre's Nest transfer. Check in, Have food, Relax and Enjoy the enchanting Eastern Himalayas. Habre’s Nest will be our home for the next 5 Nights.

Day 2 - 5

Red Panda Expedition, Birding & Jungle Trek

Wake up with Twitter & Tea. Enjoy the Bird-hide & Birding around Habre’s Nest. The team is on duty full day for the Red Panda search. We take you once spotted. Wildlife discussions & Presentations at Roosting Kuna with Food & Refreshments.

Day 6

Final Day Red Panda / Birding & Check out

Enjoy the final morning in this enchanting Eastern Himalayan Cloud Forest. Check out from Habre’s Nest and transfer to Bagdogra/ Bhadrapur Airport. Service Ends. Wish you a happy journey ahead.

  • What types of accommodation do you offer at Habres Nest?
    At Habres Nest, we offer a comfortable and immersive accommodation designed to blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Each room has a Eco-fireplace with temperature control, attached modern western toilet with toiletries & running hot/cold water and a Balcony with mesmerizing views of the surrounding himalayan forest home for the Red Pandas.
  • What kind of wildlife can I expect to see at Habres Nest?
    Habres Nest is nestled in a rich wildlife habitat. Guests sometimes see Red Panda from the room & balcony itself. Our bird hide is very active and Yellow-throated Martine, Siberian weasel and many rare and elusive Himalayan birds are regular visitors. From Satyr Tragopan to Tesia, Magpie to Parrotbills & Sunbirds to Wrenbabblers, all call it home.
  • What is the best time of year for wildlife viewing at Habres Nest?
    Different seasons have different specialties and it completely depends on the guests preference. October to December is Autumn here in Singalila and best for Red Panda & Autumn landscape & clear weather. January-February is Winter, Red Pandas mating time and time to see the small cubs. March-May is spring which is best for Red Panda along with great Birding & Rhododendron & Orchid blooming. We run Habre’s Nest Red Panda expeditions from 1st October to 30th May and closed for the monsoon for the rest.
  • How do I get to Habres Nest?
    We take care of all the services from Bhadrapur or Bagdogra Airport. It takes about 5.30 to 6 hrs to reach Habre’s Nest from any of these places.
  • What should I pack for my stay at Habres Nest?
    We recommend packing comfortable & warm clothing suitable for outdoor forest activities, sturdy walking or trekking shoes, sun protection, a hat, Rain/Snow hears. Binoculars, Spotting scopes or Cameras to view and record. A more comprehensive packing list will be sent to you a month prior to the trip.
  • Is Habres Nest environmentally friendly?
    At Habres Nest, we are deeply committed to sustainable tourism and conservation. We strive to minimize our environmental footprint through initiatives such as not using the Fire Wood, Using Eco-friendly fireplace, using Green Gensets, responsible waste management, water conservation, and supporting local communities.
  • Do you cater to special dietary requirements?
    Because of the very remote location and limited connectivity our food menus are fixed but we can accommodate most special dietary requirements with advance notice. Please inform us of your needs when making your reservation for Habres Nest so we can plan accordingly.
  • Are there any age / fitness restrictions for guests?
    While there are generally no strict age restrictions, but expedition participants should be able to walk for at least 500 m to 1km with or without our support to be able to access this forest and see the wild Red Pandas. We have shown Red Panda to guests from 2 to 84 years
  • Is tipping customary at Habres Nest?
    Tipping is a personal choice, but if you wish to show appreciation for excellent service from our staff at Habres Nest, it is always welcome. A guideline for tipping can be provided upon request.
